SHUFFLE

Edibles Sep 17, 2013

As my FatGirlAtHeart adventure continues here in Bangkok I’ve been on the hunt for new haunts with the help of a few reliable foodie friends.  One recommendation was SHUFFLE at Rain Hill plaza on Sukumwit Rd. The industrial decor perfectly complements the craft beer selection (23 total) & reminds me of a few favorite spots in New York or Silverlake, but what I was really interested in was the food.

The menu isn’t super complex or necessarily fusion, but it features a few nice spins off of a variety of favorites like the Rustic Quesadilla (smoked salmon with mornay and chive sour cream), picanha steak topped with spicy chimichuri and roasted garlic aioli, snow fish with a pistachio and pine nut crust, fondant potato, & cauliflower truffle emulsion or the Parma Ham Quesadilla (pictured)

If you’ve lived in Thailand or most of Asia really, you’ll know how hard it is to find a really good burger- and i’m not talking about fastfood. The One Good Burger: garlic aioli on their house-baked bun with a nice medium rare patty, spring greens, sliced tomato, perfectly melted cheese, and 2 strips of nice and crisp bacon. SWOON.

If you’re really hungry you can also ask for the Massive Burger which isn’t on the menu but features two beef patties, a dash of BBQ sauce, swiss cheese, hot mustard and 3 cuts of bacon. They’ve also got other meat lover favorites like ribs, lamb, pork bun, & wagyu striploin among others.  Needless to say, it’s going to take me a few more trips to truly digest the menu. I’ll keep you posted (;
