Okay so I may have a mild obsession with coffee shops.  Really there’s just something so alluring to me about somewhere you can sit with a good cup of something warm and curl up with a book, a computer, a tablet, a magazine, whatever your poison and just spend time alone in public and it not be weird or antisocial.  It’s a funny thing when you think about it… Anyway I was introduced to Casa La Pin by a friend who knows how much I love discovering new places and man…. this place?! Okay so it’s actually one of three locations and I’m not sure about the other two but this spot is not the easiest to get to and if you drive… well, you’re better off not driving.  Buried away in a dead end (barely a) soi branching off of Sukhumwit 39, Casa La Pin barely has a sign let alone a parking lot.  You have to park across the street at Samithivej Hospital.  But once you discover this little gem of a coffee shop, you’ll be glad you did.  photo 4 Perfectly small and cozy inside with big windows and real coffee making machinery- Toto we’re not in Starbucks anymore.  The staff is friendly and encouraging, especially when it comes to adding a treat to your order (alright alright twist my arm why don’t you).
photo 3 With delicious coffee and a cute treat, bring a friend or a book (which are some of my best friends) and you’ll be happy to stay for hours.  photo 2
